Motherhood has indeed been one of the most joyous and intense chapters of my life. My experiences have been vast and my knowledge deepened to the needs of mothers, parents and patients that I see in my clinic. This is a gift. I am a fully qualified Naturopath BHSc and work in a clinic on the beautiful Mid North Coast of NSW, Port Macquarie. I write blogs for my business Earth Birth Beyond and I am a regular contributor to the Natural Parent Magazine. I run workshops called Vital Child and Nutrition for Vitality which helps parents to discover the world of Organic and Super-food nutrition for their children and family. I am passionate about supporting women through their birthing journey with natural medicine and nutritional therapies; I have a special interest in the post-natal period as I see it as one of the most cathartic chapters a woman will endure in her life. This passion lead me to assist forming a Maternity Coalition in my area. This has been both professionally and personally a very rewarding experience. For as long as I can remember I have been seeking out and revelling in the delights of old fashioned and traditional health food stores, larders, apothecaries, organic food bars & wineries, beats, communities and organic health products. These earthy and soulful businesses and characters are made only more unique with the rise of sterile and corporate experiences modern day health food franchises and vitamin discount stores offer. This, for me has resulted in a new Blogging project called Heart Organic. Heart Organic is a collection of heartfelt journeys into who is part of the Organic picture, what they are doing, and how you can find them! It is the kind of blog I would like to read before I venture into a place unknown, so that I can enjoy that space too.
