Graphic Designer in The Intertubes

Hello, friend. I’ve run Hotiron Creative since 2002, and I design logos for hackers. In the aughts, I focused on graphic design for hardware and software, including print, web, UI, and industrial design. My work has won awards, publication, lectures, and other accolades. It’s in print and on products around the globe. I’ve designed for Fortune 100 companies, and I helped build a million-dollar luxury audio brand. Then the information security community found me, and I love it here more than anywhere else.

Designing clever, striking, and meaningful solutions for my clients gives me so much joy. I take pride in managing the details of execution and the production of deliverables so there are no surprises. Perhaps most importantly, I’m an artist who understands your industry.

Hackers and I share a common trait: imagination. Knowledge and skills are not enough to stop threat actors, nor are they enough to drive change. Imagining what we can’t yet see is what sets us apart from machines.

I embody the hacker mindset. I respect the research of security professionals, and I identify with the best of them for being curious, hard-working, ethical, unconventional, and creative thinkers. They know what good design can accomplish, and they’re accountable to one another for quality referrals. As your designer, we can affect change and have a great time doing it. Plus, we all get way cooler shirts.

Let’s design a hotter brand.
