I'm convinced that art and creativity were imprinted in me at birth. Having been born and raised in one of the oldest civilizations known to man has shaped the way I see the world in more ways than one. My love for Egypt and Egyptian arts and culture has been a driving force in my personal, academic and professional growth. I've been surrounded by creativity, history and diversity my entire life. Whether it be historical monuments, art exhibitions or youth events you could find me there. Moving to Toronto at the age of sixteen then furthered my fascination with the arts and culture. I was suddenly immersed in a melting pot of cultures and identities in a way that I had never experienced before. I was able to taste foods and meet people from all over the world all in the same city. At the age of eighteen I interned in an advertising and marketing agency in Cairo, Egypt called Cut Communications where I worked on organizing the lunch party of the BMW 7 Series, helping design the venue, making logoed merchandise and decor along with all the little details that go into bringing such a large event to life. This gave me the inspiration needed to pursue my goals. I fell in love with curation. Events, institutions, hospitality, I paid attention to every detail of the space I was in. The colour scheme, employee uniforms, the smell, the feeling I got walking in, all of it. I aim to use my university degree to bring the experience curation industry to Egypt. The country is a gem, with so much untapped potential, overflowing with art, food, culture and history. Introducing this industry would push the tourist experience over the edge and show the world the excitement and beauty of Egypt.
