Melinda Jarnecke
Hey, there! I currently reside in Charleston, SC, where I work as a research assistant at the Medical University of South Carolina. Here, I am involved in a research team that studies health outcomes, employment outcomes, and longevity following traumatic spinal cord injury. I implemented and actively manage the team's social media presenence, do preliminary data cleaning, conduct literature reviews, develop consumer print media, and disseminate research findings to stakeholders.
In addition to my career, I'm a first year graduate student at The University of South Carolina. I am enrolled in the Master of Public Health Program, and anticipate on graduating in 2017. I also serve as a volunteer for People Against Rape (PAR), where I provide advocacy, crisis intervention, and on-site support to sexual assault survivors. Between work, school, and volunteering, I keep busy, but in my spare time, I enjoy running, traveling, and going to concerts. Connect with me, why don't ya?
