Melissa Rothermel Biernacinski

Serving as a critical component of public relations campaigns for local and national clients in industries across the board, Melissa’s experience includes local and national story pitching and coordination for print, TV, radio and online; award nominations; crisis communication; press conference coordination; legislative support; and more. She also serves as Imagine’s resident editor.

As a result of her success in the industry, she has been an invited panelist on the subject. She was also an invited speaker for the City of Las Vegas’ 2013 Values Conference; was selected by the Las Vegas Business Press as one of only 10 Rising Stars of Business for its Class of 2013; received special recognition for the Pinnacle Award Imagine was awarded at the Public Relations Society of America’s 2013 Pinnacle Awards; was a finalist in the Young Professional category of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Athena Awards; and was inducted in 2014 into the Women’s Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Hall of Fame in the Young Professional category.

She has also authored two articles for the New York-based PR News (published by PR Press): one for the “Media Training Guidebook, Vol. 5,” published in early 2013, and one for the “Media Relations Guidebook, Vol. 2,” published in May 2014.

A 4th degree black belt in Chun Kuk Do, Melissa serves as an instructor and student at Cox & Gallacher Martial Arts. She recently served as editor-in-chief of CKD Magazine and communications administrator for the United Fighting Arts Federation, an international organization.

A Las Vegas native, Melissa is an original member of the Northwest Career & Technical Academy’s Media Advisory Committee, which helps guide the high school’s broadcast journalism program. She, herself, earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and media studies from UNLV and is a graduate of the prestigious NEW Leadership Nevada – an annual program for Nevada’s upcoming female leaders.
