Hello, my name is Melissa De Los Santos and I am currently a senior psychology major at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I spent my first two years of college at the University of Texas at Brownsville until it became the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2015.
I am currently a student mentor, but after I graduate I plan to look for a job on campus and attend graduate school where I can obtain a masters and eventually a PhD in psychology. I love learning and I never want to stop learning new things. I had originally wanted to be a teacher, but I concluded that teaching wasn't for me. Now, I plan on becoming a psychologist, and maybe even one day a psychiatrist so I can help people with mental disorders.
When I have free time, I enjoy cosplay, tennis, arts and crafts, DIY activities, shopping online, and watching TV shows, movies, specifically of the horror genre.
Recently, I have been doing yoga and trying to become physically fit. I am also trying to eat better and my goal is to eventually become vegan. I also enjoy drawing, painting, singing, and writing even though I don't think I'm very good, but I believe that you don't have to be good at something to enjoy doing it.
