My interests are extremely varied and I love experienceing new, exciting and challenges ventures. I am an English teacher in the Hazelwood School District - I absolutely love teaching young people! Everyday presents a new adventure - and challange; however, I am a lifelong student and believe teaching is very reciprocal - my students teach me almost as much as I teach them!
When not teaching, I love spending time with my daughter and my family. I have a very large family, so family gatherings are often festive and frequent. I've lived abroad for several years and as a result, I've become an avid traveler. I've traveled to many, exotic places and plan to visit many more. I'm a bit of a health junkie, so eating healthy and exercising is a pretty important part of my life. My love for literature lends me to be a free-lance writer of children's books and teenage drama.
I'm also a professional vocalist, and on many weekends I can be caught performing at large weddings, receptions, and corporate events with my band Mirage.
