After serving 20 years as an executive within the Olympic Games movement, I have successfully merged my passion for culture and athletics with design.
I am a social entrepreneur specializing in athletic and cultural apparel. I am also the founder of an international humanitarian organization, Dream Prosperity, which creates fair trade enterprises for children who have aged out of the orphanage systems in Uganda and Kazakhstan.
My fashion designs deliver unique and practical garments to specific demographics. Most notably, I created a patented hijab that fuses the traditional design with features to accommodate modern technology without compromising modesty. My Majida hijab was designed to provide optimal acoustic delivery for hearing aids, Bluetooth, iPods, earpieces, headphones, and stethoscopes. This hijab is the only hijab designed for women in the medical field, hearing aid/glasses wearers, and athletes.
Another design venture is Armed Legend athletic apparel brand, featuring patented tan tattoo technology. Athletes who train outdoors can flaunt a unique tan tattoo of their sport bringing to the marketplace a groundbreaking new way to unite athletic apparel with storytelling.
My third apparel brand, Reap Clothing, is a selection of garments to suit individuals residing in hospitals for short or long-term care.
I have a jewelry line, Map Pendant Jewelry that caters to athletes and adventurers. My pieces are sold online and at various boutique shops and have been worn by international Olympians and celebrities.
I currently e-published a children's book titled It's Good to Be Carly. There is a unique twist in this book as it teaches the reader simple Kazakh greetings by using English-sounding words. There are a variety of these play-on-words scenarios that will make speaking simple Kazakh phrases easy to remember.
