Hi! I'm Mel from Perth! I have recently just finished my final year studying a Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies and doing a minor in Public Relations. I enjoy working in teams and working alone. I'm a hard worker, often having two or more jobs at once. I am drawn to how society has changed since the explosion of social media. I value honesty, reliability and passion. Although I have zero rhythmn and musical talent, I do appreciate time with my ipod and my earphones, as well as live concerts, ranging from Queen, to Beyonce and The Script. I love to travel but am yet to explore the further reaches of the globe. I am intrigued by cultures, having studied the concept at university level. Nothing satisfies me more than a good pasta, good company and a quality movie. I am currently working at a boutique shoe shop, which is great for my customer service skills but terrible for my bank account! I'm looking for a career in travel writing, which just so happens to combine my favourite things; travel, culture, food, and writing. I am well versed in communicative practice, having previously worked in telemarketing, hospitality (try talking to hungry customers), administrative assistant at the University of Western Australia and promotional work. I enjoy being kept busy, because when I have time alone I often feel like I'm supposed to be doing something.
