Melissa Brown

Hello! My name is Melissa Brown and I am currently serving as a Senior Admission Officer within the Office of Admissions at Florida State University. I am originally from South Florida (Fort Lauderdale area) but I have been living in Tallahassee for over eight years. As a Senior Admission Officer, I review applications of incoming freshman, assist students and families on the admission process, and travel to various high schools for presentations and college fairs. This is my last semester and then I will be receiving my Master's degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Leadership and Strategic Management.

My passion is notonly helping students follow their dreams,but also making a difference in mycommunity. I am a member of three Honor Societies: Golden Key International Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi, and Omicron Delta Kappa. I serve my other organizations with leadership positions and strive to be the best version of myself and a positive representation of the Florida State community. My favorite hobbies arevolunteering, shopping, reading, and traveling.
