Melissa Daley
Melissa Daley possesses more than nine years of exemplary corporate leadership experience. She is passionate about utilizing her motivational speaking skills and financial industry expertise to empower adults and children with financial literacy awareness.
Since 2008, the Long Island, New York native has assumed a variety of vital roles within HSBC, one of the world's largest banks. She elevated through the company’s ranks from her role as a branch relationship banker, to a position as a delivery specialist (responsible for the learning and development of Commercial, Wealth Management, and Retail Banking employees), and into her current setting as a reengineering analyst within HSBC’s Technology and Services Department.
At eight years old, Melissa developed an interest in banking when she noticed the additional cents in her passbook savings account. She immediately questioned the extra money. When her father explained how money accrues interest, Melissa immediately responded, “Let’s put more money in the bank!”
Prepared to learn all aspects of banking, in 2008 she applied for an HSBC teller position. Instead, however, her impressive leadership qualities afforded her an opportunity to enter the bank under a 12-month Retail Management Training (RMT) program.
Having excelled in the RMT program, three months prior to completion she was selected to assume a role as the branch relationship banker in Southampton, NY. Three years later, she transcended into another position as a corporate trainer and facilitator. Subsequently, she was able to find the perfect balance between delivering the corporate message and customizing the learning itinerary to create a more engaging, entertaining, inspiring, and motivating experience for her classroom.
Now, as a global change delivery analyst, she utilizes her keen ability to resolve complex issues in order to identify efficiency and streamlining opportunities across the business. She consistently brings structure and order to undefined problems and/or large-scale problems.
Additionally, Melissa has worked extensively with Junior Achievement of New York, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.
