Melissa Goodson is an Associate Professor of Management and Marketing at The College of St. Scholastica with extensive experience in online teaching and learning. She’s passionate about small business. She promotes skill-building/career readiness and certifications to her students. She serves as the Chair of the National Institute for Social Media’s Advisory Board which includes work with international thought leaders on social media strategy (SMS) and SMS certification.

Prior to teaching full time, she worked in Digital Media and Marketing leadership roles at the Star Tribune (largest daily newspaper in the Twin Cities) and has managed marketing and business strategies for small businesses. Her degrees range from a Bachelors in Mass Communications to a Ph.D. in Organization in Management, so it’s no surprise her favorite classes include Digital Marketing and Management Ethics.
