For 7 years, I have collected and analyzed data from populations of neurons in the neocortex, focusing on information coding in neural circuits. This has equipped me with first-hand experience in taking data from its raw format all the way to to publication, with an emphasis on communication throughout the process. In addition to thinking algorithmically, a formal education in applied mathematics, and a lot of experience generating "nulls" and data-based models, I am well versed in the art of finding the story within the data and communicating that story to both experts and non-experts. I am extremely self-motivated, energetic, and excited to apply my knowledge of neural computation to real-world applications.
