I am self taught.
I was born in the city of St. Joseph on the island of Trinidad in 1987. We lived there till I was 2 years old when my mother moved us to Florida to attend school in Miami. I've lived through out Florida, on both coasts, as far north as Tampa to as far south as Marco Island and everywhere in between. I come from a family of engineers, artists, heads of schools, eccentrics, business owners, entrepreneurs, and visionaries.
I've always been an art addict. As young as 5 I've been elbows, sometimes all body, deep in paint, pencils, markers, pens, paper, canvas, and books about art and sciences. I was greatly influenced by the works of renaissance artists, abstract expressionists and, of course, Andy Warhol. My masterwork analysis work into Warhol is what brought me into the world of photography. To make screen prints I would have to take photos of friends and acquaintances. After months of creating work from portraits I took I was hooked on photography as a means of creating work that was beyond what I could do with paintbrushes and rollers.
Portraiture work turned a love for styling and fashion. I've spent the last 3 years focused on fashion, working with designers and boutiques for advertising and editorial publications local, national and international.
