Melissa Lo

Melissa is an entrepreneur with international expertise building rapid scale-up businesses in startup, NGO & Fortune 500 settings. In her mind, people, work, fun, winning and societal impact all go hand-in-hand without compromise. She is passionately committed to proving that businesses can achieve exponential market success by driving authentic social impact.

In particular, Melissa relishes working on David vs. Goliath challenges by using laughter, love and integrity to create disruptive change. She is experienced leading strategic marketing and product development teams to create award-winning innovations and market leading products in the US, Europe, Asia & Latin America.

She has helped companies spanning multiple industries and spaces, including fashion, mobile technology, consumer product goods, industrial engineering, education, lean manufacturing and green tech.

Melissa graduated with a Bachelors in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. She has a MBA with majors in Marketing and Management from Wharton Business School where she received the Levy Fellowship for Social Impact. She was also a Coro Public Leadership Fellow and a Fellow for the Institute for Innovation, Integration and Impact, a Silicon Valley think tank. Other honors include two Congressional Recognition for Service to Community awards and a Mayoral Leadership Award from San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown Jr.

When she's not playing at work, Melissa enjoys visiting silent Benedictine monasteries, wandering art galleries around the world and skateboarding on her Arbor longboard.
