I was born and raised in Chicago, and it will always feel like home. A proud Hurricane, I received my BA in Studio Art from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. I worked for the next several years in special education, animal rescue, pet care, hospitality, and retail sales and merchandising. I attended graduate school to become a K-12 Visual Arts Educator, obtaining my Master of Arts in Teaching, summa cum laude, from Columbia College Chicago in 2016.

At the University of Miami, I worked in the Center for Volunteer Service and Leadership Development and was involved with several service and advocacy organizations on campus. There, I nurtured my commitment to service and my interest in non-profit and volunteer management. I spent my last semester abroad in Rio de Janeiro, learning Portuguese and exploring Brazilian culture.

I love animals, the arts, my family and friends, being outdoors, and trying new things. I'm currently working as a Sales Ambassador with one of my favorite companies, LUSH Cosmetics.
