Melissa McGuire

An employee of her alma mater, the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), Melissa McGuire serves the Institute for Tuberculosis Research in a variety of coordinating and marketing capacities. Responsible for addressing the logistics of public events, Melissa McGuire forges partnerships with other educational organizations.

Melissa McGuire also makes all travel arrangements for special guest lecturers and disseminates marketing or promotional material regarding upcoming programs in Chicago. When she first joined the Institute for Tuberculosis Research at UIC, Melissa McGuire assumed responsibility for generating media coverage from Chicago outlets for the UIC College of Pharmacy’s Healthy Living in the City Garden Walk and local Chicago businesses willing to host or promote such gatherings.

In preparation for 2011 fund-raising efforts, Melissa McGuire managed the pre-production schedule and content for a promotional documentary series on the Institute for Tuberculosis Research. She also designed and supervised marketing content for public outreach programs, approving written and graphic designs for both electronic and print materials.
