After nearly 20 years as a product development chemist for top brands all-around the world, I know the secrets, tricks, and smoke-n-mirror games of the cosmetics and skin care business. THAT, is precisely why I have not used a commercially available skin care product in nearly 5 years. THAT is also the reason why I created Gypseed, a holistic natural company. This is my dream.

I began my career as a young entrepreneur at 16, and retail store co-owner at 19. After a few years of grueling retail early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, I headed back to college and in another direction - Chemistry. After graduating, I landed a fantastic opportunity in Research & Development with Limited Brands, who had 2 fledgling retail chains, Bath and Body Works, and Victoria's Secret Beauty. It was a whirlwind experience that took me around the world as a team member who helped grow a small step-child of Express (Clothing store) to a 1,000 store chain in 3 years.

Obviously, I burned out a bit, regrouped and embarked on an even greater adventure as the Director, then Vice President of Product Development, then Vice President of Marketing & Product Development for an International manufacturer. I went on to develop nearly every imaginable category of consumer product from cosmetics to candles to nutritionals to beverages to fragrance and beyond.

Meanwhile, I became a wife, a mother, an ex-wife, etc., and I began to focus my family on natural and organic where possible. Life focused me on the importance of a holistic path. Quite unhappy with the performance criteria of the brands for whom I was developing product, I knew it could be done better. So I set out to perfect a skin care regime that was natural, not fake natural, not marketing natural, but natural as in NOTHING synthetic. But, natural without high performance results was not an option. Real natural without real science is like sashimi from a vending machine, probably not worth it. I believed that I could create products that were Real Natural, High Performance, and Beautiful! Five painstaking years in the formulating and BOOM! Gypseed is finally born.
