Melissa Sugar-Gold

I am a full time mom, a part time attorney and a mystery/suspense/thriller writer in search of a literary agent. I blog five times per week on my fiction writing blog & I just started a new quasi-lifestyle blog. I was a prosecuting attorney for twenty years. Most of those years I spent as the chief assistant district attorney and I handled all high profile and violent crimes. I am married to my long time friend and neighbor, who was at one time one of my biggest trial adversaries. My husband is a criminal defense attorney as is my ex husband of twenty years. I guess I am a gluten for punishment and an argumentative and opinionated person. Together my husband and I have six children, three are grown and from his first marriage. We have three young children in our home. Our oldest, almost sixteen, a thirteen year old daughter who is my only surviving triplet girl born severely premature and a ten year old son. I took a much needed break from the practice of law and used the time to finish my first novel, Justice For Sale, a legal thriller. I am really enjoying my time right now alternating between volunteering at two of the schools our kids attend as room parent and beginning the query process for my novel. I expect to return to the practice of law, full time at the end of this summer. I will continue writing novels and blog post. I will contribute more to the crime fiction for writers topic on my writing blog.
