Melodi Smith

Melodi Smith works for CNN in the worldwide headquarters based in Atlanta, Georgia as a Row researcher.

Melodi is responsible for ensuring the factual accuracy of TV packages, digital packages and investigative writes for CNN.com. In this role she helps ensure editorial accuracy working with producers, writers, talent and other newsroom colleagues for CNN, CNN International, HLN, Newsource, CNN.com and HLNtv.com.

Melodi's job at the Row affords her the opportunity to have daily editorial conversations with some of the best journalists in the world.

Before coming to the Row in March 2014, Melodi was a CNN Video Journalist. Prior to that she started her career at CNN as an intern for CNN Network Booking in January 2012.

In college, Melodi reported and anchored for WUFT-TV PBS and WUFT-FM Florida's 89.1. She was the former president of the University of Florida chapter of National Broadcasting Society.

Melodi is from Florida and received her Bachelors of Science in Telecommunication-News from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications in 2012.
