Melody Laoshi

I am a Mandarin-Chinese teacher originally from Taiwan and have been teaching in Toronto, Canada for about 20 years. I founded the Mandarin program at Lycée Français de Toronto in 2002 and have been teaching full-time at the school ever since. I specialize in teaching non-native Mandarin speakers of all ages quickly and effectively. My passion for education is best reflected in my students. With only 90 minutes a week of instruction and no Mandarin background at home, they have won numerous competitions, scored extremely high marks the HSK Chinese proficiency test, and most fulfilling of all, now have the ability to read, write and commuinicate in Mandarin, a rich and beautiful language.
