· Quantitative Research
Focusing on quantitative research at The University of Texas at Dallas Master Program, I have several courses in data analysis, such as Marketing Models, Marketing Analytics using SAS, Marketing Research using SPSS, and Spreadsheet Modeling using EXCEL. In order to accomplish my research projects, I developed the statistics models, including multiple regression analysis, correlation, factor analysis, cluster analysis, conjoint analysis and predictive modeling, etc. Mostly, I analyze data through SAS, SPSS, and EXCEL.
· Social Media
During taking a course Digital Marketing Lab at UTD, I participated in a competition called Google Online Marketing Challenge. Our client is impactfoods.com. We used Google AdWords, Netbase, Google Analytics, and secondary research resources to gather and analyze information.
· Qualitative Research
Moreover, during the bachelor's degree program, I enjoyed teasing out information by qualitative research. My Graduation thesis is on Psychological Attribution of Consumer’s TV shopping Behavior. In order to identify the reasons Asian consumers purchase through TV, I built a consumer characteristics model based on Grounded Theory and in-depth interviews. Then, three core factors are extracted to explain this consumer behavior.
· Professional Experience
According to my previous job experience, the position in Roche as an event planner cultivated my strong attention to detail and in Cyber Group as a social media marketer improved my problem-solving oriented mindset. Cyber Group, Inc. introduced me to design website layout. Furthermore, I had a team at India. We discussed about the webpages through Skype and email. But, initially, we fell behind the schedule. Then, after talking with India team leader, my supervisor, I found out approaches to fix this problem. For example, people may have various preferences to accept information. Therefore, for Chintan, an India team leader, different topics will be discussed in different emails rather than in one email. Also, before or after a Skype, I would email the details we may discuss and the conclusion we determined. From this experience, I think, a successful communication makes participants feel comfortable and gains a maximum outcome.
