NeferMut Birthing is passionate about providing mothers and their partners the support needed before, during and after their bundle of joy arrives. NeferMut means “beautiful mother” in Ancient Egyptian; and all mothers are beautiful!

NeferMut Birthing was started by me in 2015 after attending a Ra Sekhi (Kemetic Reiki) summer retreat. During that healing time, I realized my destiny is to support families during childbirth within the role of doula. I’ve attend several births including in a hospital setting with medical intervention and a home birth with a midwife and no intervention. I’m flexible!

I am completing my certification with Ubuntu Birth Workers Collective. I am also a Level 2 Ra Sekhi Kemetic Reiki practitioner.

My approach to childbirth is to provide the mother and her partner emotional and physical support. Such support includes comfort measures, guided meditation and visualization, massage, birth plan advocacy and evidence-based information; and even just allowing the partner time to rest.
