Melody Giang

Studying at BCIT for the last couple of years, Melody is graduating this year with a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design. Her ultimate future goal is to start her own Design Build company for sustainable and affordable homes. However, in the mean time, she is eager to start working as a Junior Interior Designer to learn the ropes of this exciting and creative trade.

While studying at BCIT, Melody has generated a passion for sustainable design. For her Capstone project, she proposed an eco mixed-used hub that encompasses the idea of spreading and practicing sustainability through everyday life activities. Design should be more than function and aesthetics. It is about improving the way we live, our society, and the natural environment and while not forgetting our culture and history.

Other than her passion for design, Melody also loves to travel to gain experiences in new places with different people, food, and cultures. Though she is not extremely athletic, Melody does yoga, go on hikes, and volunteers on her free time. She is also a part of a floor hockey team.
