Roy & Melody Sherrid

Melody and I met in 1979 in Puerto Rico, where we were stationed in the Navy together. Melody got out of the service, but I served for twenty years until I retired in 1998. We have been married for thirty-five years and have always loved to travel. We had moved quite a bit through the years whenever I got reassigned to a new duty station, so we would always feel like it was time to move after three or four years. But, we really didn't start visiting Europe until just before and since I retired from the Navy. Now every year, we try to plan an adventurous trip. We love seeing new sites and learning about new cultures and have had the good fortune to visit several countries in Europe.

We also love sharing our experiences with our friends. That is why we decided to join the International Travel Writers & Photographers Alliance, so we could do just that. We are also starting this travel website and magazine to share our experiences and also to learn from you as well. So please, tell us about your trips, your favorite countries and cities to visit and we will do the same. We are hoping to expand our horizons and see other parts of the world. We have come back from Ecuador where we had hoped to retire. They were hit by a devastating Earthquake and we intend to go back just as soon as the medical care for Melody as been fullfilled. We been to move back to Ecuador and I know that is where our new home survives. The Ecuadorian people are happy and reliant and they all have a love and strength I have felt and seen no where else in the world. We have also read about other places that we would love to see, like Belize, Hawaii, and Peru and hope to visit there soon.
