Ever since I can remember I’ve always been intrigued by health and nutrition. I sought out any type of training and educational platforms that I could get my hands on. Over time I’ve witnessed good people that wanted to feel better, look better and be healthier but struggled without help or guidance. I would step in and help and it felt really good! I began to realize that this was my passion!
My diverse personal and professional background provide me with a well-rounded foundation to help relate to many different people as well as give me a variety of different vantage points to help people achieve their goals. First of all, I am a mom! Being a mom has taught me not only how to eat for myself, but how to cook for a family and educate and raise my daughter holistically. Raising my daughter to live a healthy lifestyle has prepared me in many ways to be a better health coach.
I also have a diverse professional background in the nutrition industry, but also in banking, real estate, insurance, small business, legal services, personal training and even the medical industry. Most relevant to my health coaching career is my experience as a fitness trainer and as a manager of a medical surgery center in Maryland. Both of these positions have taught me a tremendous amount about nutrition, anatomy, what works and what doesn’t work, and most importantly these two jobs have put me 'on the front lines' of what real life health issues people are facing every day. This experience has given my health coaching practice a depth that a certification or degree just can’t provide.
Currently I’m enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the worlds largest nutrition school. During my training I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. Drawing on my knowledge I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
