Hi friends~
My name is Megan Minier and I'm a student at the School of Information Studies (iSchool) at Syracuse University. My major is Information Management and Technology and I aspire to minor in Spanish as well. I hope to someday integrate my passion for Spanish into my career at a big business. Furthermore, as a result of my appreciation for the open minds of others and the potential doors they can open paired with my personable nature, I aim to work within a business-oriented world as opposed to a "techy" one; I'm currently considering focusing in either Project Management or Web Design and Management.
In my spare time, I enjoy taking road trips, volunteering with children with disabilities, and attending various concerts, especially Indie Rock ones. God and I have made a personal and rather cordial agreement that I'm not allowed to leave this Earth until I have seen both Of Monsters and Men and Death Cab for Cutie live. On a more personal level, I am a relatively (extremely) awkward (quirky) and energetic (ambitious) woman whose relentless passion, motivation to succeed, and optimistic personality translates to any project, whether it be personal, academic or work-related, that I set my mind to. There is a lot of change I wish to be done before I leave this planet, and I aspire to bring about that change. I want to live in a world that eliminates oversexualized portrayals of females in the media. A world that embraces our potential and does not sit down when a woman stands up. And simply, a world where women are respected and valued as equals to our counterparts. I'm not sure how I'll make that happen, but I'll let you know if I get any ideas.
xoxo,
Megan
