Emily Cald

My name is Emily Calderon, I am 15 years old, I am a sophomore at Van Horn High School. I was born in Calabasas, California. Up until I was 11 and moved to Independence. Independence is a very quiet, small town with not many things to do, but I’ve adjusted to it. I’m interested in beauty, hair, and fashion! I love getting creative with the work I’m doing, and after high school I plan on going to college for Business, to pursue entrepreneurship.

On my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, and friends! My family has always been there to support me, and make sure I had everything I needed, I grew up in a wealthy family, but I never took that for granted! I work for everything I have and now have a job working as a cashier to provide for myself and to take a step into becoming Independent.

I’m a very quiet, genuine, down to earth person once I get comfortable with people. I love making people smile and being there for people in need. I consider myself a very positive person, and a excellent friend, and I love creating relationships with people, and being able to express myself with people I relate to! I’m very dedicated in what I do and make sure the work I’m doing is my best work because it shows a lot about me, and the integrity I have. I was raised to put all my effort into something so I take part in what I do. My main goal for school is to have straight A’s and B’s and a 3.0-4.0 GPA. I want to make it on the Honor Roll, and get as many scholarships for college as I can, and to achieve these goals I have to have integrity, responsibility, initiative. Those are important traits I feel everyone should have to be successful, and that's my main goal! To be successful and be able to provide for mine, and not have to depend on anybody else.
