As COO of Royal Eagle Capital Partners, he is the visible face of the operations side, making sure all covenants and milestones are met on the different projects where the fund has a stake or a special interest. He takes part in all due diligence, leads the project management, and serves as a special advisor on tech startups, scaling businesses, and partnership agreements. He leads the Fintech vertical investment as CEO of HYPE, an easy-to-use, innovative, and secure companionship app. Under a single app, we will offer access to financial planning, student loans, device protection, peer-to-peer payments, savings, and investments. Hype combines analytics, guided spending, and Robo-advisors to give a new personalized digital experience. Based on AI and ML, brings new products and promotes better habits for a supported transition into adult life. For community engagement, we offer access to effective altruism activities, to maximize doing good.

In his previous position, he was the Head of Supply Chain and Partnerships for Wayside Systems at Bombardier Rail, the World’s leader in rail systems integration, located in Pittsburgh, PA.

Before being relocated to Pittsburgh, he was based in Mexico where he led the Project Management responsibilities and the Supply Management area of Bombardier Mexico. He enjoys leading and coaching multicultural teams and getting involved in multi-site projects. Throughout his career, he has covered medium and long-term assignments in Malaysia, Thailand, Brazil, and western Europe. Prior to joining Bombardier, he served in different positions in the automotive industry and he partnered and co-founded different ventures in sustainable agriculture, logistics, and third-party business processes. He brings a strategic vision and drive, plus a very quick adaptation factor. During his entrepreneurial years, he learned about customer service, finance, and operations, being able to manage large and small projects with global players like Cadbury, VW, and Magna.

Carlos was a founding member and served as President of the PA Chapter for the Gift of Adoption Fund (2015-2017), a national, charity that provides grants for the adoption of vulnerable children.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Management from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Monterrey Tech) and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
