Meni Meller
Presales, Architect, and Manager
Hi, I’m Meni.
I am a tech savvy, maker that works in the IT industry for 25+ years.
Started as an electronics expert in the early 90's and expanded my expertise into software development at the time.
I really like it when domains merge into an innovative creation.
My career has always been about helping customers adopt new technologies, way before presales or solution engineering were acknowledged as a common role, I was already helping developers with application lifecycle management and setting their development environments.
Working at Sun Microsystems I met great people. Also learnt and understood much more about hardware and raw IT knowhow, being network, storage, compute, security and so much more.
When hardware, business models and software met again - we got the software defined datacenter, also known as….. Cloud !.
Innovation yet again and that got me curious enough to gain expertise and knowledge of how public clouds work and the how harnessing technology disrupts business while creating smarter systems.
With background of systems integration, data management, application & API security, identity & access management plus some toying around with ethical hacking - I found myself running detailed architecture and security discussions with people at different levels from numerous organizations of different scales from startups to enterprises. and again…the more your know – the more tools you have, and I really like tools… :)
Another career phase I am proud of involves building and managing a team of solution engineers at Oracle, cloud architects that work together as an elite squad, handling escalations, mentoring and helping with career development. Working as cloud engineering director gave me a lot to think of as well as more tools that I can further use in the future.
In my free time I'm designing and printing 3D parts that help my other hobbies or make my wife happy.
Making my smart home even smarter, scuba dive and practicing my photography / videography skills.
If you really want to see some of my pics my Instagram page is open 24/7 :)
As if that's not enough.. during COVID days and while the borders were closed and flights seemed risker than ever… I started touring Israel off-roads and found a whole new world accessible for 4x4 vehicles only.
Two things I like about hobbies are meeting great new people I wouldn't otherwise meet and learning how perceived limits turn into new tools, knowledge and experiences.
