· How students are affected (learning, environment, socialization, isolation).
· How learning is affected (focus, understanding, esteem).
· Society and social stigma (denial, avoidance, shame).
Mental Health Disorders Across Cultures Workshop Fee: $1800.00
One out of every four families knows of someone, or is affected by a mental health disorder. Discussion will center around getting a better understanding of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorder, eating disorders, ADD, ADHD, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The focus will be upon breaking stigma and understanding that mental health disorders are treatable.
