Born in meatspace in space year 1975, Mentuss lived his life as a heavily picked-on geek called Darren until a tragic nicknaming accident gave him special powers.
...Or he had a nervous breakdown. One or the other.
Unphased, he took up the mantle of Cheltenham's protector, leaping from rooftop to rooftop, wearing nothing but fluffy pink bunny slippers.
Alas, stark-bollock naked crimefighting never paid off so he decided to roam the world wide interweb like a digital version of The Littlest Hobo, befriending young children and ohhhhh that doesn't sound right. That makes me sound a bit of a weirdo.
Not that I'm not a weirdo but I don't swing that way. By golly no.
