Menwa Buenaobra

I am a full-time student currently living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. My interests range from travel and writing to cosmetics and fashion. I have a background in the performing arts, and I am currently taking a double major degree in Marketing and PR. I aspire to one day be a successful entrepreneur and an active advocate of causes involving children from countries that are in poverty. I strive to be as approachable as possible, and I am always open to opinions and ways to further improve my skills in communication. I am a people person. I like talking to people and the thought of sharing ideas and opinions to set and achieve goals. I am also digitally literate and have a basic knowledge in programming. As a hobby, I write poetry and pieces about my own experiences and memories. If asked about what sets me apart from other people chasing the same dream as I am, I would answer; my persistence and patience. I work to deliver the best product I can produce, but unlike many, I admit that my work is not always perfect and spotless. But I never give up on trying to improve and do better in everything that I do. In my experience with performing, specifically in the field of dance, I am an active leader and have led in multiple groups, such as dance companies/troupes and professional marching bands. Although, due to the load of work from being a full-time university student, I decided to set aside performing and everything related to it, because I wanted to be able to focus on my academics. And through my background in the performing arts, I have been trained on how to engage with people and was taught about the different ways to communicate effectively despite having clashing opinions or thoughts regarding a certain topic. Also, I have no problems with speaking or presenting in public.
