Creation in to Mindfulness

Before last year, I had never heard of Polymer Clay. It wasn't until my art therapist put a few colours in front of me that I fell in love and finally found something that put me at ease, shoved all stressors out of my mind for a while, and allowed me to enjoy the simple act of creating.

Being a survivor and being in recovery, I spend much of my time focusing on mindful activities, and creating with poly clay has become my sooth kit.

As I progressed in my abilities to make nifty little charms, jewelry, and miniature foods, I became more confident and even sold quite a bit at an art fair here in Atlanta.

I have finally reached a point where I am comfortable enough and happy to put my creations up for sale. But not just any old dollhouse polymer creation...each and every one of these was created during my mindfulness periods.

Almost a year later, I fall more and more in love with discovering new techniques to enhance my abilities. And I don't plan to stop. I plan to keep learning and keep enjoying what I do and have fun doing it!
