I've been involved with entrepreneurship since high school. In 2000 I started Equity Icon Holdings, a small private capital management firm that did really well until the credit asset bubble burst in 2008. In 2004, I co-founded Interact Worldwide, which aimed to offer a platform for real-time analytically complex database queries on massive amounts of raw, streaming data. But alas, companies like Progress Software and Streambase proved superior.
The time came to close down shop, and I decided to pursue my graduate degree in 2010. I'm infatuated with gaining knowledge for its own sake. Earlier this year I started a new web venture, and I'm having a lot of fun building the tech for it. Stay tuned...
I love to share ideas; I'm a genuine book worm. And I'm passionate about science, visual art, music, and writing. Much of what I write analyzes particular dynamics between profound human extremes (eg. sex/death, reason/passion, etc.), in the context of current social media and affairs.
