Mercy Adesoro is a driven and passionate individual pursuing a prospective graduate degree in the field of Public Health. Born and raised in Nigeria, I developed an early appreciation for the impact of health on individuals and communities. My keen interest in public health was sparked during my service year (NYSC) when I volunteered with UNICEF with assisting in health awareness campaigns and an opportunity to take a course on Global Health.
As a result of my strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, I am able to analyze health problems and suggest workable solutions. Due to my strong interpersonal and communication abilities, I can work effectively with a variety of teams and engage effectively. I appreciate the value of cultural competence in public health practice and, as an empathic and adaptive person, I am open to learning from all viewpoints and cultures.
With a prospective graduate degree in Public Health, I aim to further my understanding of public health issues and contribute to evidence-based policymaking. I envision a career in a governmental or non-governmental organization, where I can lead and support initiatives that address health disparities, promote health equity, and improve overall community health outcomes.
