Experience as a 21st Century intervention specialist in reading instruction for struggling readers as well as evaluate and implement literacy strategies that increase student success. As a literacy coach, I work cooperatively with other staff and administrators to develop and implement school-wide strategies that include the latest classroom technology through team-teaching, collaborative planning groups, and best practice based on research and data analysis. I work closely with building administrators and staff to plan professional development opportunities that are aligned with student growth models, assist with the management of formative assessments and support the implementation of adopted literacy frameworks school- wide. Most importantly, I have a passion for learning and consider myself a lifelong learner. I acknowledge and understand that our world is changing and that education must shift to fit our current and future needs.
