Mercy Karumba is currently studying Bachelor of Economics at Kenyatta University (class of 2016). She is a Brand Ambassador at (ATB) - a digital recruitment company that aims to Prepare, Position and Transition students from Campus to Corporate life. ATB also organizes events which include: Graduate Careers Fairs as well as Entrepreneur Boot camps, where key speakers have included: Bob Collymore (CEO, Safaricom), Kunle Awosika (Country Manager-Microsoft Kenya), and James Mworia (CEO, Centum Investment).

Mercy is an active member of Africa Youth Leadership Forum (AYLF), a young entrepreneur, a mentor to high school students and a writer/blogger. She currently writes a weekly column for the ATB Facebook page titled: 'Saturday sentiments'

Mercy is involved in research activities such as research analysis and data presentation and has worked with Institute of Capacity Building (ICB), Rwanda. She has also participated in various mentorship programmes with organizations such as LIGHTA AFRICA, FRETAB, ASA-KU, AYLF and currently initiating the ATB CSR project.

Mercy enjoys working with children in various capacities through teaching and other extra-curricular school programmes. In terms of her career,she looks forward to advancing her skills in financial and research analysis in order to get into consultancy. She also plans on expanding her business which is creative arts-customized cards and artifacts.

Mercy is currently working on a mentorship project with as well as an ongoing one with AYLF and plans to give back to society more in this way.
