Meredith Lewando

Currently attending the State Univeristy of New York at Cortland College majoring in Communications and Political Science. I hope to work in the non profit sector with public relations, development, and event planning.

While attending Cortland I have become entrenched in Public Relations- Inspired My Freshmen year working on Cortland's Annual "Lose the Shoes" 3 vs. 3 barefoot soccer tournament, as Co-Chair, which benefits Grassroot Soccer (www.grassrootsoccer.org). As 2012 Tournament Director I learned many things which will serve me in the future as a public relations professional.

Teamwork, leadership, time management, communication, stress management, muti tasking, and are all skills which I have used and learned in my experiences thus far. I believe my experiences and work ethic make me a valuable player on any team!
