Community & Belonging

Are you looking for new ways to deal with difficulties in life and get in touch with your best self? As an art therapist, I incorporate talk therapy with art making to help my clients unlock their creative potential, look at problems with fresh eyes, and develop strategies for dealing with difficult emotions. If you or a family member is feeling blocked by past trauma, stuck in destructive patterns, or overwhelmed by depression or anxiety, then I encourage you to reach out. You are not alone. I have extensive experience working with groups and individuals who have experienced anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use and grief. When words aren’t enough we will use art supplies and other contemplative practices (breathing, movement, guided visualization) to explore your experience. I will tailor everything we do to respect your comfort level. Ready to create a life with joy and meaning? Become mindful & intentional as you confidently embrace changes & seek out new opportunities. Talk therapy integrated with the creative/expressive arts can deepen your relationship with yourself, others, and your community. Let go of past pain, connect meaningfully with others & engage with your values more deeply. My approach is grounded in the healing power of the expressive and creative process. With 15 years of clinical experience in various treatment settings, in both the public and private sectors, I am passionate about providing support for those in personal and professional care-taking roles. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community and a Queer parent I have a special focus on adolescent health and their families using creative clinical approaches. I follow G.L.A.M. the Gender and Life Affirming Model in my practice. I enjoy wearing many hats — including that of clinician, supervisor, consultant/contractor, artist, educator, workshop facilitator, spouse and mother.
