Meredith Ansell

Meredith Ansell is the Managing Director and founder of MJC Investments, which is a Philadelphia-based private equity group that specializes in software, Internet and digital media investment opportunities. Meredith Ansell, who was born in Philadelphia in 1973, has been involved in financial advising and private equity for nearly two decades, beginning her career shortly after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School in 1995. While there, Ms Ansell majored in finance and was active in Wharton’s Private Equity/Venture Capital Association, also serving as a student member of both its Investment Club as well as its International Business Review. It was there that she first acquired knowledge of, and experience in, financial matters, planting the seeds for her ever-growing commitment to the field.

Upon graduation, Ms Ansell assumed a position in financial consulting at Naugles, a group specializing in offering financial investment, tax and insurance-related advice to companies. In 2001, she left this posting in order to participate in Bank of America’s three-year-long Merrill Lynch Financial Advisor training program. Alongside her training, she conducted work as a Financial Advisor at the Bank until 2009. During this period, she provided individualized financial advice to hundreds of affluent individuals, and developed the skills and experience essential for acquiring and maintaining high-profile clients and partnerships.

After seven years at Bank of America, Ms Ansell decided it was time to personalize her impact on the financial world by establishing MJC Investments. Since its founding in 2009, her private equity firm has grown to a team of experienced financial analysts and advisors, and has invested in companies globally.

In addition to her role as CEO of MJC Investments, Meredith Ansell also finds time for her husband and two daughters, as well as for her longtime hobbies of cooking, tennis and writing.
