Meredith Sossman

An accomplished development professional as well as an experienced attorney, Meredith Sossman has directed development and gift giving for the West Chester University Foundation since 2008. She has created an efficiency-focused strategic plan and revitalized the organization's overall structure. Meredith Sossman has also proved successful in leading the foundation's $50 million capital campaign, Becoming More, which reached 84 percent of its goal ahead of schedule.
Responsible for risk management and liability as well, Meredith Sossman draws on eight years of experience in legal practice. She has offered counsel on employee benefit matters as an associate attorney for several private firms and as the general counsel for Muhlenberg College as well. In that capacity, she also built experience in advising university leaders and guiding litigation proceedings.
Meredith Sossman holds a juris doctor from the Temple University School of Law, where she distinguished herself as a member of the first-place team in a national trial competition. Also a recipient of the school’s Best Oral Advocate Award and a winner of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) Tournament of Champions, she was subsequently named Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women.
