Family vacations are always something to look forward to in my family. Traveling to new places is one of my favorite pass times but my favorite place to go is to the top of one of the Breckenridge mountains in Colorado during the winter. Every year my parents, brother, sisters, and I go to the same ski resort, stuck in between the same four walls for a week. Entertainment is not scarce whenever the six of us are together, especially when my dad and brother race to bottom of a double black diamond slope. We always leave the state with at least one injury. My family’s personal favorite is when I wiped out and ran into a tree. I will never live that one down and it will continue to be the dinner topic at least once while we’re in Colorado. Watching my mom attempt to ski down bunny slopes is always the highlight of my week. My sisters and I nag my mom about her inability to snow ski but I appreciate her willingness to try. This annual trip bonds our family, especially since my siblings and I started college and do not see each other as frequently. I will always refer to Breckenridge for most of my favorite memories.
