Marques Elliston (also known Merk Murphy) is a Chicago-based music executive, manager, A&R, and concert producer with deep roots in the city’s hip-hop ecosystem. As an active member of G.A.N.G. Management, he has supported the representation and career development of influential artists including Chief Keef, while building a reputation across Chicagoland for sharp creative direction and disciplined execution.

He is also the co-founder of Complex Recording Studio in Chicago, a creative home base built to serve working artists with professional recording, development, and project infrastructure. For the past ten years, Merk has managed Ty Money / Fat Money and A&R’d each project—guiding creative direction, aligning producers and collaborators, shaping tracklists, and helping drive release strategy. Beyond the studio, he has produced live concerts for a wide range of talent, bridging performance and culture with experiences that reflect Chicago’s energy and influence.
