Merrily is a fiber artist and enjoys bringing her current location into her work. Originally from the United Kingdom, Merrily has lived in many places and uses native fibers to design and create original works. Color and texture are what draw her to particular fibers and creating abstract designs using unexpected fibers or using expected fibers in unexpected ways form the basis for her work. Merrily received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Framingham State University and her Master’s in Design from Bath Spa University in the United Kingdom. She also holds various degrees from Bentley College, Northeastern University and Clark University. She works as a freelance designer and has also as a technical illustrator, art director, writer, editor, training specialist and consultant as well as college professor.
