Born in Petersham and educated at Dulwich Hill Boys High School in the 1940's. My first job was with the Postmaster Generals Department (PMG) in Sydney as a Permanent 4th Division Clerk. Whilst with the PMG, having been a school cadet I decided to join the CMF and served with 1 Interpreter Unit at Victoria Barracks in Sydney until I joined the Australian Regular Army. I then served the remainder of my defence service as an officer in the Australian Intelligence Corps (AUSTINT). I am a Justice of the Peace in and for the State of New South Wales and also a member of the New South Wales Justice's Association.
