Have you ever wondered why I called this business 'Mesmerizing Transcendence?' It is long and, for those like me, hard to spell. So...Why?

I would love to say it has a deeply profound meaning but I think that would be over the top. The truth is, I'm an avid reader. I have been since I was a kid, and, as a kid, I read a lot of westerns. I don't remember the story exactly and I'm unsure of the author, though a good bet would be Louis L'amour, but I remember a scene where a cowboy noticed an M-T brand on a herd of cattle and from then on called the area 'M-T lands.'

That struck a chord because not only could that have been someone's initials, or could have meant Montana, but it could have also stood for EMPTY Lands. Since that time, I have played many games where that concept of 'MT' equaling 'Empty' was used. There were several incarnations such as M-T City, M-T Tribe or M-T Farm. A hidden joke that no one got but me because I figured people would assume it was because I was from Montana or, once I married, that it was a shortened form of Martin.

When it came time to name my business I had a great name all figured out. Sad thing was someone else was using it. Frustrated, I sat down and brainstormed but nothing struck. Finally I realized I was forgetting my fall back, 'M-T.' Only this time, it wouldn't stand for empty, exactly. It would stand for everything. We were in the process of starting a transition in our lives. We were moving back to Montana. We were returning to our roots. It was time for me to return to what made me happy.

So, I searched for words that represented this new chapter. I wanted them to inspire but I also wanted them to point out the inner beauty we all have. Mostly I wanted to make sure to stick with my M-T theme.

Mesmerizing Transcendence represents all those as well as the fact that I was blindsided by the confidence I gained when I started using the 3D mascara and pigments. I truly felt changed. I hope that everyone who tries this makeup will feel that same uplifting feeling.

So to recap, Mesmerizing Transcendence is another form of M-T which stands for Martin. It also stands for Montana, and for the hidden joke so that I remember to laugh and be happy even when things are shifting and changing around me. Alright. So maybe it IS over the top...but I don't mind. It works for me.
