PROF. DR. METİN ÖZATA

He was born in 1958 in Burdur, Turkey. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Burdur. After studying at Ege Medical Faculty for 5 years, he graduated from Gülhane School of Medicine with honor. He became Internal Diseases Specialist in 1990, Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases Specialist in 1992, Associate Professor in 1994 and Professor in 2003 at the Gülhane Military Medical Academy. She retired from Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 2008 with her own will. He is still working as a private doctor in his clinic in Istanbul.

Hw worked at the USAF Regional Medical Center in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1986; He studied as a research fellow to Professor Leslie J. DeGroot, M. D. between 1992 and 1993 at the University of Chicago.

He had 16 science awards as follows: 1998 “TÜBİTAK Science Incentive Award”, 2001 TÜBİTAK “Turkey Medical Research Award”, 1996 Turkish Diabetes Association Celal Öker Science Award, 1997 Bayındır Medical Center Science Incentive Award, 2000 Roche Medical Awards competition first prize, 2001 Metabolic Syndrome X scientific competition first prize, 2003 Istanbul University Science Award, 2003 Bayındır Medical Center award. He has 20 published book in Turkish on hormones, diet and endocrinology and metabolism

The assessment made in 2018, the first 100 scientists give direction to medical science in Turkey was ranked 52 of Dr. Metin Ozata

He has published research articles, notifications and books published in peer revieewed medical journals.
