Natasha Smiller offers clients a creative vision - drawn from analyzing a client's goals, requirements and lifestyle -to create environments that provide a sense of well being, comfort, and beauty. Natasha practices design as a creative and practical art, a fine craft and a detailed and demanding professional business.
Whether traditional or contemporary, the architectural integrity and clients’ desires are valued. This is a direct result of many years experience in commercial and residential projects around the world.
After studying International Business at the University of Southern California, Natasha Smiller honed her curative eye and love for decorative arts while studying Interior Design at UCLA. She was the Design Manager at Campagna / Alistair Stones, an interior design and custom furnishings studio on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, California. Alistair Stones was a modern Mecca for the celebrity clientele.
When Ralph Lauren took over his flagship store on Rodeo Drive, he then asked Natasha to be the resident Interior Designer overseeing the entire west coast. There she had the opportunity to work on prestigious projects and high-end clientele, both residential and commercial.
From there Natasha went on to become a project designer for Bent Severin Interior Design, a “Hotel Giant”, then ranked top in the world for Hospitality Design. Traveling all over the world, she was responsible for overseeing projects in Singapore, Japan, Dubai, and London.
After extensive globetrotting, Natasha Smilller came back to her roots and established her own Interior Design Firm- Metropolitan Design Group. Natasha’s interiors are organized according to modernist principles – compositions balanced in scale, texture and color – with a purpose for every object. She is known for creating original and personal surroundings – filtering styles, objects and preferences through the lens of modernism – that stand as refined and elegant extensions of her client’s interests.
Soon to come is a furnishings line. The sophisticated designs in warm wood tones that create a look that is strong, simple and timeless. A coordinating offering of art, lighting, rugs, bedding and accessories that will paint a picture of a well lived life.
