For the time being, I am working toawrds getting my PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. I am currently working on Infomation Security in Data Stream Management Systems (DSMS) in the Distributed Multimedia Systems Lab (DMSL) with Prof. Arif Ghafoor and Prof. Walid Aref.
I am supported by a fellowship from King Fahd University of Petrloluem and Mineral (KFUPM), in which I am also holding a poisition of Lecturer in the Computer Engineering Department (and potentially an Assistant Professor).
Prior to joining Purdue, I graduated from King Abdulllah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) with a Master's degree in Computer Science. My Master's thesis is titled with "Optimal Nodes Placement in Underwater Wireless Sensor Network", which was advided by Dr. Basem Shihada. I earned my bachelor degree from the reputable KFUPM from the Computer Engineering department with distinct honor.
Away from academia, I have worked in SABIC as a Network Administrator in Al-Jubail Industrial City. I also had a reearch internship in the world's famous IBM T.J. Watson lab in New York. I also had an unforgetable experience wokring as an intern in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Mumbai, India.
My reearch interests include Underwater Wireless Sensor Netowrk (working in a project funded by KACST), Multimedia systems (submitted a paper to IEEE Network), and Data Mining. I am also keen to establish my own startup, in which I am planning to exploit my experience and knowledge gained through my education.
